Institute of Vocational Training AKMI S.A. in Iraklion, Crete

The study involves the redesign of four modules – floors of an existing building of the 80s, in the city center which operated as a public service, to accommodate the operational needs of teaching spaces and offices known private educational institution.

The complex and extended building program led to a complete redesign of the interior spaces of the building.

The four modules – floors were asked to become functionally independent, and their design to amplify that functional separation. A significant portion of the electromechanical installations and building components maintained and reused in an effort to limit the remodeling costs.
